In our terraced garden, we have slowly added roses.
Two of my favorites are Fritz-Walter-Rosen, named in the 1990s for the World Cup 1954 Hero from 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
But I was not satisified to just have the two roses alone. I have been looking for a while for a sculpture to accent
the roses. I met an artist, Uschi Weber, at the Kaiserslautern Herbstmarkt 2010. I told her of an idea
I had, and the result is this wonderful "Gartenteufel" (Garden Devil) who is singing Horst Schneider's Betzelied
for Fritz' Roses... "Wenn
am Wochenend' die Massen in die Fußballstadien zieh'n..."
